April 04, 2019
Professor Ilia Solov'yov and Ms. Ida Friis from the Quantum Biology and Computational Physics group, University of Southern Denmark (Odense, Denmark) visited MBN Research Center on April 03-04, 2019.
The two groups shared their expertise in multiscale modeling of collision-induced processes and radiation chemistry with complex molecular (in particular, biomolecular) systems by means of MBN Explorer. Particular focus was made on utilization of the recently novel computational methodologies available in MBN Explorer, such as Irradiation Driven Molecular Dynamics and the reactive CHARMM force fields.
Close cooperation between MBN Research Center and QuantBioLab teams will focus on investigations of molecular-level mechanisms of radiation-induced biodamage.
