A 1.5-day workshop on theoretical and computational multiscale modelling in radiation research, linked to the FP7 Initial Training Network (ITN) Project "Advanced Radiotherapy, Generated by Exploiting Nanoprocesses and Technologies (ARGENT)", was held in Otto-Stern-Zentrum, Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany during May 4-5, 2016. The meeting was organized by Nigel Mason (The Open University, Milton Keynes, UK), Stefan Schramm (Goethe University) and Andrey Solov’yov (MBN Research Center). This mini-workshop included scientific presentations on currently ongoing theoretical and computational studies of radiation-matter interactions and, in particular, of biological damage induced by ionizing radiation. The meeting comprised the talks given by three early-stage researchers of ITN-ARGENT, the academic and associated partners of the project, as well as by a number of invited speakers from other institutions in Germany, France and Belgium.
